The More Fun With Games team is on site at the always fantastic Kelburn Garden Party a multi day music and arts festival on the beautiful West Coast of Scotland. We're running an immersive adventure game encouraging attendees to discover, engage with and be inspired by the amazing artworks, nature and the fae and folklore that lies Beneath the Surface of the Never Ending Glen...

If you are at Kelburn this weekend read on to discover how to play...

Join us on a journey Beneath the Surface to discover a trove of creative treasures in the Never Ending Glen.

This is a self-guided and self-paced treasure hunt game played on our mobile web app and/or our A4 paper map.

Ready to begin your adventure?

Remember when you play it is the real-world, common sense and physics apply, be aware of what is around you – don’t stare at your phone the whole time, soak in the sights, talk to those you meet on the way, rave responsibly!

Find the word at each location to complete the puzzle, fill it in on the map and return to the walled garden to claim your prize, we have some gaming treats for you and one lucky winner will get a pass to next years festival!

Head to https://unveiled.games/ to start your journey.

The main game trail will loop you around the glen and you will finish right near where you started. you can do it in one go or collect clues over the weekend. Look for side quests as you go for the slightly harder to find fun...

If you get stuck or just prefer a screen free experience simply follow our paper map, you will find us in or around the Plaisance aka The Walled Garden handing out maps, head to the big tent the Plaisance Lounge and look for our team or ask for a map there, they might have one for you.

The Red X's marks the (approximate) spot you should go! Look Aboot Ye For Clues!

Should you experience any technical difficulties find us in the Walled Garden or email mail@morefunwith.games and we will do our best to assist you, you can also use the jump codes you find at each location to help you pick up where you left off.

This is an experimental game made by a team of 2 so please be patient with any issues and feel free to try your own troubleshooting via the info below:

unveiled.games is the url to launch the game, then click Explore Adventures or the Quests tab and click on the Kelburn Raving Stravaiging game on the screen. Then scroll down again to the Begin Adventure button, press it and follow the prompts on the screen to go on your adventure.

Chrome or Safari browsers may run best, Brave browser, we use device orientation for compass to work you may need turn off Brave shield (click the Brave lion icon in your browser bar), Firefox, experience runs but compass may not work dynamically (it will not rotate but point direction relative to true north)

    1. Try alternating between the Map tab and the Stage tab.
      1. The map tab allows you to see the distance to the next location and the compass will point you to approximately its direction.
      2. The Stage tab has a visual and written game text hint to your next destination, if you are struggling press the Clue button to get a more direct hint and the Help button will reveal the exact location on a small map screen if needed.
  1. You need to allow Location access to the web app. Your browser should prompt you to allow this if not already allowed.
    1. If it does not then try refreshing and/or shutting down your browser and restarting. Refreshing is a good start, if you do not know how to do this try pulling down your browser from the top of the screen until your refresh icon (spinning wheel/hourglass etc.) appears and release the screen and the browser window should refresh, then scroll down again to the Begin Adventure button.
    2. We are a light weight, privacy focused indie game/web app. We only store data locally - on your phone, we do not access it and it is minimal data, we DO NOT and CANNOT track your data or location through this game nor do we want to! Privacy is important and you are entitled to it, enjoy your wander and wonder!
  2. Go into the the Settings of your phone and ensure your web browser of choice e.g. Brave, Firefox, Safari, Chrome etc has permissions set to accept Location services.
  3. You can also check the settings in your browser, this is usually found by pressing the three dots ... then something like Settings, Site Settings, and check Location, Motion Sensors etc are allowed access.
  4. Ensure Javascript is set to run in your web browser - most browsers will have this turned on by default.
  5. You can try to clear your web browser stored data/cache etc - WARNING if you do not know what this means tread carefully.
  6. If all else fails with the web app - grab one of our physical A4 maps (from our crew wandering around or ask at the Plaisance Lounge) and just wander around to roughly where the icons on the paper map are and keep your eyes peeled, you will have got your step count up and almost certainly seen something interesting!
